Installation Instructions for Freedom Headliners
**Warning**
- **Adhesive Application Temperature:** Ensure adhesive is applied in temperatures between **70°F and 100°F**.
- **Pre-application Temperature:** Do not apply if the vehicle will encounter temperatures below 32°F within 72 hours of application.
Preparation:
1. **Climate Control:** It is recommended to perform this procedure in a climate-controlled area.
2. **Temperature Check:** Ensure the Freedom Headliner surface is between **70°F and 100°F** for optimal Velcro strip adhesion.
Materials Needed
- Freedom Panels (remove from vehicle)
- Rubbing alcohol for cleaning surface
- Clean paper towel
- Non-scratch surface (e.g., a table with a towel)
Installation Steps
1. **Panel Preparation:**
- Carefully remove the Freedom Panels and place them on a non-scratch surface such as a table covered with a towel.
- Ensure the Freedom Panels are free of dust and residues for optimal adhesion.
- Rubbing alcohol works well
2. **Velcro Strip Preparation:**
- On the back of your new headliners, locate the Velcro strips.
- With the Velcro still attached to the headliners, **peel off the plastic backing** of the Velcro strips. **Avoid touching the sticky adhesive** during this process.
3. **Aligning and Pressing:**
- Align the headliner in the basin of the Freedom Panel.
- Firmly press the panel onto the Freedom Panel.
- Using your hands, apply consistent pressure on the areas where the Velcro strips are located to ensure proper adhesion.
4. **Curing Time:**
- Allow at least **2 hours** before returning the Freedom Panels to your Jeep. For optimal results, a curing time of **24 hours** is recommended.
- Once applied, **do not remove the headliners for at least 72 hours** to ensure proper adhesion.
